Initiation

What is the Initiation?
The initiatory process happens after you have successfully concluded your 60 day pledge program. At this point, you will have an opportunity to reflect on your experience meeting the members of the fraternity, and will have a much deeper sense of what we're all about and who we are. If you feel that the organization is something you would like to commit to and become a member of, and the brothers select you as a worthy candidate you will be initiated at this period. The process involves a time honored formal ceremony of which all true and lawful Kappa Sigmas have submitted themselves to before you. Following which, there will be a formal banquet and after party to welcome you into the brotherhood of the Kappa Sigma fraternity.

What Happens Next?
Upon successfully initiating as a member of the Kappa Sigma fraternity, you will have an endless amount of opportunity to increase your involvement within the chapter. You will have the opportunity to run for a large variety of positions within the chapter, and get involved in committees to improve both our presence on campus, as well as fellowship within the chapter. You will have the opportunity to travel to leadership conferences, as well as attend our national convention of all Kappa Sigmas known as the biennial Grand Conclave, an event characterized as the "the finest hour" of Kappa Sigma.

One of the greatest rewards you will experience as a member of the Kappa Sigma fraternity is being enabled to travel extensively throughout the United States and Canada and meet members of other chapters, who welcome you into their homes and social circles not simply as a friend - but as a brother of an order whose existence is nearly a century and a half old, and whose roots are over six centuries deep. Not to mention all of the workshops, and leadership experience opportunities you'll encounter as a member.
